We are pleased to once again offer you exciting insights into the topic of endoprosthetics with this edition of our ARTIQO newsletter.

This time, the focus is on the future of the newly created Implant Register Germany (IRD) and the established Endoprosthetic Register (EPRD). Prof. Dr. Carsten Perka, Berlin, has given us firsthand insights into the current status of the discussion.

We’re looking at Australia, specifically at the current annual report of the registry there. Naturally, we are also interested in the performance of short-stem systems there. The results of our research “Down Under” can be found in the article.

And we spoke with Dr. We spoke with Dr. Mumme Sch\u00fcller, Cloppenburg. He and his team have already performed several bilateral total hip replacements in a single session. We wanted to know what this means for patient selection and perioperative processes. And, of course, what role the A2\u00ae Short Stem System plays in this.

Australian Registry Confirms EPRD Short-Stem Results<\/h3>\n

Different countries, different patient populations, and different care philosophies. What does the Australian care reality actually look like with regard to short-stems? Simultaneous Bilateral Total Hip Replacement<\/h3>\n

Progress makes it possible<\/strong><\/p>\n

Medical and technological advances\u2014particularly minimally invasive surgical techniques, innovative implants such as the A2\u00ae Short Stem, and optimized procedures\u2014now make it possible to implant both hip replacements in a single session.<\/p>\n
