Minimally invasive access routes and reconstruction possibilities with the A2® short shaft system

26.09.2020 Course Report: Anatomy Course Essen

Finally it was time again!

Under the direction of Dr. Frank Horst, the course “Minimally invasive access routes and reconstruction possibilities with the A2® short shaft system” could take place for the first time again in Essen. In cooperation with ProSympos, a good hygiene concept gave us the opportunity to conduct this high-quality course again.

There was a lot of encouragement and positive feedback from the participants. We felt a great relief that endoprosthetics was finally back in the foreground. During the event, the various surgical hip accesses were discussed very intensively. The indications for the A2® stem and the possibilities for the new A2® short stem “cemented” – which will be launched in early 2021 – were also discussed.

In the afternoon, the practical part of the meeting was devoted to the “Hands on” workshop. With great enthusiasm, the participants were able to practice the various approaches intensively under the guidance of the instructors.

Conclusion of the sales manager, Joachim Geßner: “We will offer this course again twice next year and – if the current situation allows – we will gladly offer it again with a larger number of participants. The positive feedback from our customers gives us the motivation to continue to offer this course for you”.
