Amplitude: New Distribution Partner in France

Since the beginning of May, ARTIQO has had a new exclusive distribution partner for the A2® short-stem system in France: Amplitude. The company is considered one of the leading manufacturers of knee and hip implants in France. “We have been present in the French market with the A2® short stem since 2022 and have built a solid customer base during that time,” explains Ulrich Bücken, Managing Director of ARTIQO GmbH. “We expect our collaboration with Amplitude to increase our visibility and presence in the French market. Customer feedback has been very positive.”

Around 150,000 hip arthroplasties are performed annually in France. The “Corail philosophy” has traditionally dominated the market there. Estimates suggest that short stems account for a market share of approximately 5–10%; this category encompasses both calcar-guided stems—such as the A2® short stem—and other shortened straight stems with metaphyseal-diaphyseal fixation.
