eIFU from August 2025: Instructions for use digitally and always up-to-date

Ab August 2025 steigen wir für unsere ARTIQO Herstellerprodukte um: Statt der bisherigen gedruckten Gebrauchsanweisung im Innenkarton gibt es die Informationen jederzeit digital als elektronische Gebrauchsanweisung (eIFU).

For the A2® hip stem system, the 4motion® knee system, and our ceramic ball heads (ISO 6474-2), you can access the current version either via our website (www.artiqo.de/downloads/ifu/) or via the QR code on the product packaging. Since the transition to product packaging will be gradual, we expect the first packages with an eIFU reference and without a printed copy to be available starting in September 2025.

Many advantages for everyday clinical practice

ARTIQO has consciously decided to switch to electronic instructions for use because it offers several tangible advantages. “Our customers have reliable access to the latest version at any time via the website or the QR code on the product packaging, without having to open the product or search for printed inserts. This saves time, increases operational reliability, and ensures that all relevant information is up to date,” explains Mario Frank, member of the ARTIQO management team. eIFUs also offer advantages in terms of documentation and quality assurance: They are centrally available, loss-proof, and can be easily integrated into existing clinical processes. Finally, saving paper and printing materials contributes to resource conservation.

Complete Flexibility

Of course, we at ARTIQO won’t completely abandon the paper version. Upon request, you can receive printed copies of the instructions for use from us free of charge and without hassle. The printed instructions for use in the accompanying product folder will also remain part of your order.

We are now providing instructions for use for selected products as eIFUs – for direct, fast, and paperless access to current product information.
