What is everyday life for people in Germany is often an unaffordable luxury for many in war and crisis zones: medical care. Wounds and illnesses often cannot be treated locally, and people die from injuries and illnesses that could be cured with medical treatment. The Peace Village staff have experienced this repeatedly since the organization was founded.

It quickly became clear that children from war and crisis zones needed to be brought to Germany for medical care and treatment in hospitals—the idea of ​​individual assistance was born. This remains an important focus of the Peace Village today. The young patients come primarily from Afghanistan, Angola, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
