Periprosthetic infections: Tracing the influence of stem design

Newsletter September 22, 2025

Welcome!

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, dear customers and interested parties,

With a new edition of our ARTIQO Newsletter, we are kicking off autumn and once again have some exciting topics in store for you.

First, we will address the question of what influence the stem design might have on infections. Dr. Sebastian Meller from Berlin will present study results in which the A2® short stem plays a role. Electronic user manuals (eIFUs) are now available for our ARTIQO products. You can find out more about them and their advantages in the newsletter. Then we turn our attention to Cologne, where a change of chief physician has just taken place at the Eduardus Hospital. We spoke with Dr. Thorsten Hillmann and Dr. Nikolaus Szöke, two long-time supporters of the A2® short shaft, about continuity and change. Those who follow us on LinkedIn know that we regularly present real-world cases kindly provided by our customers, demonstrating the full range of applications for the A2® short shaft. This case collection is now also available on our website.

“` We hope you find this book an engaging read and enjoy it!

Sincerely, Ulrich Bücken
