Newsletter November 21, 2023
Welcome!
Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear customers and interested parties,
Are old age and being very overweight still contraindications for the short shaft?
In our latest video we go together with Dr. Thorsten Hillmann, Eduardus Hospital Cologne, asked the question of how the short shaft can be used in the very old and in people with obesity. Dr. has both previous contraindications. Hillmann examined in detail with his colleagues at the Eduardus Hospital in Cologne.

Endoprosthesis Register 2023: The A2® short stem system has proven itself in standard care
Once again, the eagerly awaited report from the German Endoprosthesis Register (EPRD) provides new insights into short stem care. This is the sixth year of follow-up for our A2® short stem – once again with outstanding results. The lime-guided system has proven itself in standard care – as can be seen in the wide range of care. ANA.NOVA®: ARTIQO’s answer to the “extinction of species”
If you look at the screw-on pans that are still available, they seem to be gradually disappearing from the market. There are still avowed fans of screw-on pans in Germany.
Almost 20 years ago, the ANA.NOVA® hybrid pan was developed for these screw-on cup lovers in order to combine the advantages of a screw-on cup with those of a press-fit cup.
The A2® stem impresses with low migration and good ingrowth behavior
Prof. Dr. Stefan Budde, Bielefeld, presented exciting results of an RSA migration analysis of the A2® short stem at the German Congress for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (DKOU) in Berlin. Radiostereometry analysis (RSA) is a precise method to measure the smallest movements of an implant postoperatively.
